Sea of Cortez: An Ocean Journey of the Heart
In April of 2027, we will be swimming with whales and dolphins in the Sea of Cortez off the coast of Baha California, Mexico. Want to come?! We can only bring 6 people with us.
On this journey we will stay in a boutique hotel right on the coast where we will be picked up every day by our hosts in a small, highspeed outboard motorboat. Sunrise over the Isla Jacques Cousteau and Ventana Bay while drinking tea or playing qigong on the sands followed by a lovely Mexican breakfast overlooking palms blowing in the morning breeze, in a forest of +200 year old elephant cacti hollowed out by Gila woodpeckers, followed by a day of free dives and drift diving with snorkel gear alongside of some of the oceans giants: humpback whales, sperm whales, dwarf sperm whales, blue whales, dolphins galore, mobula rays, and so much more.
We will weave and sing with the giants of the deep. Our host organization holds all of the necessary permits that allow us to swim in the seas of Mexico with some of these mysterious beings. Sit back on the boat and enjoy the passing waves. Explore sea caves and swim with sealions around headlands. Follow into the evening with delicious food and good company.

In this small journey to Mexico, limited to 8 people, we will spend our first night in Cabo to gather. We will then head to our accommodations at La Ventana, a small fishing village that is popular earlier in the winter with windsurfers.
Each day, after breakfast, we will head out to the Sea of Cortez to see who we come in contact with in the deep. Some days we may go to little beaches or free dive along underwater cliffs and sea caves, but most days will be spent on the open sea watching the ocean's gorgeous wildlife in action - and where we can legally get in with some of the species and swim along with them or observe them underwater.
Lunches will be light fair on the boats and is covered in the trip cost. Dinners we will walk down the beach in the evenings for local seafood and more.
